Geek Rush

My new GPS (a Garmin StreetPilot 2820) unit arrived a couple of days ago.
Unfortunately, I still have to buy a motorcycle mounting kit for it. (Nothing is ever easy.)
It is a big fat monster. If had seen it before I bought it, I might have looked for something a little less intrusive. Nevertheless, I am sure it will get a lot of use.
I can pair it with the Chatterbox and a cellphone--which sounds kind of cool, but goes against all of my Luddite-inspired principles. It will play MP3's and (for a whole lot of extra money) can get traffic reports and XM radio.
Just fondling it gives me a geek-rush. I can hardly wait to take it on a "let's see how lost we can get" ride (one of my favorite bike-based activities!)
